Round 2 "Chillz" connects with a hard punch making Stevenson bring him in to a tight clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Maurice attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Cote pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Maurice hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Mills. Maurice eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Cote. Mills lands a double jab. Mills connects with a right that puts Maurice Stevenson off balance tumbling to the mat, as Mills towers over him. "Chillz" drops a huge strike to Maurice Stevensons chin, landing into his guard. Round 3 Mills takes a punch and goes to the mat, Stevenson pounces into side control. Mills recovers quickly. Maurice slides his knee across the body of Mills and takes full mount. Mills shifts his head and hips to keep Maurice Stevenson off balance and unable to land strikes. Cote gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Maurice Stevenson peppers Mills with several shots to the face. Maurice lays into "Chillz" with some strong shots forcing "Chillz" to give up mount position. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 Mills winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Maurice connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Mills. Maurice Stevenson connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Mills. Maurice Stevenson loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by "Chillz" for the mistake. "Chillz" has side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Mills Cote gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Maurice uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. Mills Cote attempts a kimura from the bottom. Stevenson blocks the attempt and smothers Mills Cote who transitions to an armbar attempt. Stevenson is able to defend this as well and works back into guard. Maurice drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Mills Cote starts to lock a triangle. Maurice postures up and starts to stand up. Mills Cote lands a stiff upkick, slumping Maurice back into his guard. Cote sinks a kimura fromt he bottom but cannot finish. He rolls Maurice over to gain mount but Maurice is able to achieve half guard with a great scramble. Cote releases the kimura. The round comes to an end.
