Round 1 Maurice ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Arie to the mat, and his back. Arie carefully protects himself from Stevensons strikes. Arie Daalman starts to wiggle out of back control, Maurice lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Arie is brought to his back by a well executed takedown from Maurice. Maurice now has side control. Maurice slides his knee across the body of Arie and takes full mount. Arie Daalman attempts to buck Maurice Stevenson off from mount but Maurice Stevenson keeps his base and maintains position. Maurice Stevenson punishes Arie with a series of strikes from the mount. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Arie Daalman throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Maurice puts Arie Daalman on the mat giving his back up. Stevenson peppers Arie with several shots to the face. Arie Daalman starts to wiggle out of back control, Maurice lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Arie Daalman shoots but Maurice stuffs it, eventually working in a whizzer and landing some sharp knees that allows him to move to side mount. Maurice Stevenson slides his knee across the body of Arie and takes full mount. Stevenson executes a double hand slap to the ears of Daalman. Maurice Stevenson executes a double hand slap to the ears of Arie Daalman. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Daalman hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Daalman takes a punch and goes to the mat, Maurice Stevenson pounces into side control. Daalman recovers quickly. Maurice lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Daalman gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Arie carefully protects himself from Maurices strikes. Maurice is working a furious pace on Arie, intermingling strikes with positional dominance at will. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 Arie buckles Stevenson with a kick. Arie rushes forward to grab a guillotine, then falls to guard. Stevenson is in trouble but is able to muscles his way out of the choke. Stevenson pushes down Daalmans leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Arie tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Maurice Stevenson slips out of half guard and into side control. Arie almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Arie Daalman tries to get back to full guard, but has to settle with half guard. Daalman tries to scramble out of half guard, but Stevenson takes his back during it. Arie Daalman tries to explode out the backdoor but Maurice Stevenson sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Arie Daalman falls flat to protect himself. Stevenson tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 Stevenson is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Arie. Daalman gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Arie carefully protects himself from Maurices strikes. Daalman starts to wiggle out of back control, Maurice Stevenson lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Daalman circles away from Stevenson, landing strong kicks to the lead leg. Stevenson throws a cross that easily dodged by Arie. Maurice Stevenson attempts a takedown but slips, and Arie Daalman backs away. Arie Daalman is standing over Maurice Stevenson.Round 5 comes to a close.
