Round 1 James Jodoin connects with a series of punches forcing Maurice Stevenson into a clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. James Jodoin takes Maurice Stevensons back standing. Maurice isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but James Jodoin lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Maurice to release. Stevenson presses forward and grazes Jodoin with a combo. Jodoin wants none of the stand up and clinches with Stevenson to then savagely throw him down to the ground. James drops a huge strike to Stevensons chin, landing into his guard. James Jodoin takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Maurice Stevensons guard. It doesn't pay off as Stevenson makes his way to standing. James Jodoin takes a punch while shooting but executes the takedown and ends up in Maurice Stevensons guard. "Bubbles" rains down hammer fists. James Jodoin rains down hammer fists. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Maurice Stevenson snaps back the head of Jodoin with a stiff jab. A welt begins to form under James Jodoins eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Stevenson. Maurice Stevenson grabs for a clinch but James grazes him with an uppercut. Maurice Stevenson staggers back, then surprises James with a powerful superman punch. "Bubbles" gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Maurice Stevenson slides off to the side of Jodoin and lands several heavy knees into his ribs. Before he can lose the position, Maurice Stevenson switches back to full back control. James Jodoin eats a few stiff shots from Maurice, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Maurice Stevenson throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Jodoin is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Jodoin ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Stevenson and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Stevenson gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. "Bubbles" lays into Maurice Stevenson with some strong shots forcing Maurice Stevenson to give up mount position. Maurice shifts his head and hips to keep Jodoin off balance and unable to land strikes. James Jodoin punishes Stevenson with a series of strikes from the mount. Round 3 is over.
Round 4 James connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Maurice. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Maurice begins to clinch with James, but James presses out of it burning up quite a bit of energy. James circles Maurice, mixing jabs with body shots. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Jodoin connects with numerous jabs to the face of Maurice. The bell signals the end of round 4.
Round 5 James Jodoin circles Stevenson, landing jabs and crosses at will. James Jodoin is hit with two hard punches to his face. James Jodoin laughs off the punches. Stevenson hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. James gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. "Bubbles" tries to explode out the backdoor but Stevenson sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. "Bubbles" falls flat to protect himself. Giving up his back, Jodoin panics and gives up mount instead. Round 5 is finished.
