Round 1 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. "Blanka" works Guerra into the cage, swimming for double underhooks. "Blanka" presses his head into Carloss chest, forcing him to the ground. Carlos begins to posture on his side. Gallegos lands a couple of outside hooks and Carlos returns to the guard. "Blanka" frees a leg and moves into half guard. Carlos Guerra holds the head of Gallegos close to avoid shots. Gallegos slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. "Blanka" slams his knee into Carlos Guerras ribs. Concepcion presses his foot onto the thigh of Carlos to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Carlos takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Guerra hits an uppercut to the head of Concepcion Gallegos followed by a hard hook. Carlos connects with a jab cross combination. Concepcion tries to hyperextend the knee of Carlos Guerra with a kick to the kneecap. Carlos Guerra hops back to avoid it. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Carlos is caught with a double leg takedown, forcing him to give side control. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 A double-leg shot is stuffed initially by Concepcion Gallegos but Carlos Guerra is able to muscle through for a takedown, finishing in half guard. Carlos slips out of half guard and into side control. Guerra attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Concepcion Gallegos for his troubles. "Blanka" gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As Guerra spins around to take it, "Blanka" makes his way back to his feet. A double-leg shot is stuffed initially by "Blanka", but Carlos Guerra is able to muscle through for a takedown. Gallegos connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Concepcion Gallegos shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Concepcion attempts an armbar. Carlos Guerra time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into "Blankas" guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 Carlos hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. "Blanka" winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Gallegos gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Carlos Guerra lands a series of heavy punches forcing Gallegos to roll to his back, giving Carlos Guerra mount. Guerra lands a double punch to the head of Concepcion Gallegos. "Blanka" bucks off Carlos and sweeps him over to his back getting into his half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 Gallegos is staggered by a jab to the chin. "Blanka" connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. "Blanka" attempts a lazy shot, which Carlos sprawls, eventually taking "Blanka" back. Carlos lays into "Blanka" with some strong shots forcing "Blanka" to give up mount position. Gallegos pulls Guerra close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Carlos Guerra is pulled in tight, and then switched over on his back. "Blanka" is now caught in Carloss guard. The bell signals the end of round 5.
