Round 1 Cosmas Athanas connects with a hard punch making Gallegos bring him in to a tight clinch. Gallegos works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. "Blanka" takes Cosmas Athanass back standing. Cosmas isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but "Blanka" lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Cosmas to release. Cosmas connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Concepcion connects with numerous jabs to the face of Athanas. Cosmas takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks Concepcion Gallegos to hit him harder. Concepcion Gallegos is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. Athanas stands over Concepcion, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Concepcion is able to grab an arm and pull Athanas into his guard. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Athanas circles Concepcion, landing jabs and crosses at will. Cosmas circles "Blanka", mixing jabs with body shots. Cosmas Athanas hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of "Blanka". Concepcion throws a cross that easily dodged by Athanas. Athanas connects with jab cross combination. Cosmas Athanas takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks Concepcion Gallegos to hit him harder. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Blanka" attempts to grab the plum but is kept off balance by Cosmas Athanass strikes. Athanas dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Gallegos standing over him. Gallegos attempts to drop a fist on Cosmas Athanas, but misses and lands in his guard. While caught in Cosmass guard, Concepcion Gallegos gets hit with a vicious elbow. Concepcion Gallegos tries to pass guard but Cosmas stops him with a well timed punch. Cosmas locks a kimura and forces Concepcion to defend. Cosmas settles for a couple of cross-body chops to "Blankas" temple. Concepcion presses the action while in the guard, but Athanas is able to switch him into mount. Round 3 is over.
Round 4 A couple of powerful body shots forces Concepcion Gallegos back to the cage. Cosmas swims to double underhooks. Concepcion Gallegos cannot stop Cosmas from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Two large hammerfists forces Concepcion Gallegos to attempt to shift away from Cosmas Athanas which give Cosmas Athanas the opportunity to move to half guard. Cosmas Athanas is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Cosmas punishes "Blanka" with a series of strikes from the mount. Gallegos gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Concepcion Gallegos tries to explode out the backdoor but Cosmas Athanas sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Concepcion Gallegos falls flat to protect himself. "Blanka" starts to wiggle out of back control, Cosmas lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Round 4 is over.
Round 5 Cosmas Athanas fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with "Blanka". Athanas lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Cosmas takes Gallegoss back standing. Concepcion Gallegos isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Cosmas lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Concepcion Gallegos to release. Concepcion throws a hard jab but Cosmas throws a cross right over the top that knocks Concepcion to the ground. Cosmas Athanas drops a huge strike to Concepcions chin, landing into his guard. Cosmas Athanas takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Concepcions guard. It doesn't pay off as Gallegos makes his way to standing. Cosmas Athanas sends Concepcion to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Concepcion Gallegos is cut under his eye by a hard overhand from Athanas while utilizing the guard. Cosmas Athanas pushes down Concepcion Gallegoss leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. The round comes to an end.
