Round 1 Chava Munoz circles Jamie Butler, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Jamie Butler lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Munoz. Jamie circles Chava Munoz, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Chava Munoz snaps back the head of Butler with a stiff jab. Jamie lands a hook and immediately shoots in, lifts Munoz up and dumps him over his shoulder in a powerful display. Jamie turns quickly to capitalize but Munoz is quick to turn to his back while he recomposes. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Chava stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up. Munoz starts to lock a triangle. Jamie postures up and starts to stand up. Munoz lands a stiff upkick, slumping Jamie back into his guard. Jamie takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Chava Munozs guard. It doesn't pay off as Munoz makes his way to standing. Chava Munoz dodges a jab-cross combo from Jamie and connects with a front snap kick, sending Jamie stumbling backwards. Munoz is hit with two hard punches to his face. Munoz laughs off the punches. A shot from Jamie Butler is countered by a guillotine from Chava Munoz. Jamie Butler follows through with a slam, landing in side mount, nullifying the choke. Butler throws his knee into the ribs of Chava. Jamie slides his knee across the body of Munoz and takes full mount. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 A low kick is shin checked by Butler who retaliates with a superman punch that floors Chava Munoz. Butler falls into Chava Munozs half guard. Butler slips out of half guard and into side control. Butler lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Munoz gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As Butler spins around to take it, Munoz makes his way back to his feet. A double-leg shot is stuffed initially by Chava Munoz, but Jamie is able to muscle through for a takedown. Chava attempts to lock an omoplata, but Jamie Butler is able to muscle his way back to the guard. Chava throws a couple of chop shots but Jamie Butler returns with vicious ground and pound. Chava attempts to create some space from his guard, but Jamie Butler sees the opening and passes to full mount.Round 3 comes to a close.
