Round 1 Marvin Morris snaps back the head of Wanderlai Silva with a stiff jab. Morriss legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. Morris attempts a takedown but slips, and Silva backs away. Silva is standing over Morris. Wanderlai lays into Morriss thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Marvin Morris does so. Morris is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Wanderlai prepares to pounce, but Morris gets his bearings just in time. Marvin Morris thrusts his leg into Wanderlai Silvas knee while grounded. Wanderlai Silva lays into Marvins thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Marvin Morris does so. Marvin Morris weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Morris takes Wanderlai Silva down to the mat with a good double leg takedown, leading to him standing over Wanderlai Silva. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Marvin takes a punch while shooting but executes the takedown and ends up in "The Axe Murderers" guard. A kimura attempt from "The Axe Murderer" is countered by a punch from Morris, who then transitions to half guard. Morris tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. "The Axe Murderer" hits an upward elbow on Marvin Morris, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Marvin Morris takes side control. Morris attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from "The Axe Murderer" for his troubles. Marvin Morris slides his knee across the body of Wanderlai Silva and takes full mount. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Marvin Morris circles Silva, mixing jabs with body shots. Morris parries "The Axe Murderers" jab and connect with a cross. Marvin throws a cross that easily dodged by Silva. Marvin circles Silva, landing jabs at will. Wanderlai throws a cross that easily dodged by Marvin. Marvin Morris circles Wanderlai, landing jabs and crosses at will. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 Marvin Morris connects with a series of punches forcing Silva into a clinch. Marvin receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Wanderlai. Wanderlai Silva escapes the clinch and creates some distance. The fighters circle each other. Marvin Morris ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Silva and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Wanderlai throws a cross that easily dodged by Morris. Silva presses forward and grazes Morris with a combo. Morris wants none of the stand up and clinches with Silva to then savagely throw him down to the ground. Marvin lays into "The Axe Murderer" with some stomps. "The Axe Murderer" can't handle it as the ref stops the fight.
