Round 1
"Payne" takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. A single-leg attempt is well defended by Johnson. Hank stands up, lifting the leg of Johnson and executing a trip takedown. Hank attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. "Payne" slips out of it at the last moment. Hank defends a triangle attempt, throwing Maxs straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. Max Johnson is able to hold him to half guard. Hank Nelson tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Hank Nelson slams his knee into Max Johnsons ribs. "Hammerin" slams his knee into Johnsons ribs. Nelson fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with "Payne". The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Johnson drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. "Hammerin" sets a guillotine choke but Johnson slips out at the last moment. Johnson is now caught in guard. Nelson begins to work the rubber guard. Nelson begins to work the rubber guard. Max tries to pass guard but Hank Nelson stops him with a well timed punch. Hank throws his leg over for a tight armbar from the bottom. Max Johnson has to tap.
