A double-leg shot is stuffed initially by Ward, but Makoto Nakasato is able to muscle through for a takedown. Makoto Nakasato passes through Richards guard into mount. Richard gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Richard starts to wiggle out of back control, "smalls" lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Ward is hit with a jab and then taken down with a strong trip takedown. Ward attempts to create some space from his guard, but Makoto Nakasato sees the opening and passes to full mount. Richard gives his back up trying to escape the mount. "smalls" peppers Richard with several shots to the face. Ward attempts to stand up, but "smalls" throws his leg over, setting an armbar. Ward taps out.
