Round 1 Riggs Wright connects with a series of punches forcing Bert into a clinch. Long receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. Long attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Wright pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Wright parries "Sgt Majors" jab and lands a liver shot that buckles Bert Long. Bert Long rolls to his back with Wright standing over him. Riggs Wright drops a huge strike to "Sgt Majors" chin, landing into his guard. Riggs Wright takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Longs guard. It doesn't pay off as "Sgt Major" makes his way to standing. Bert Long narrowly dodges a cross from Wright, but falls catching him in his guard. "Sgt Major" shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. While caught in the guard, Riggs Wright opens up a cut on "Sgt Major" with a devestating elbow. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Bert Long lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. "Sgt Major" circles Riggs, landing jabs at will. After dodging a jab-cross, Bert lands a kick to the liver of Riggs Wright who steps back and begins to take a knee. Bert rushes forward to capitalize but Riggs Wright stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Bert snaps back the head of Riggs with a stiff jab. "Sgt Major" lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Riggs Wright. Bert Long loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Riggs for the mistake. Riggs has side control. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 "Sgt Major" lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. Bert connects with a series of punches forcing Wright into a clinch. Wright drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Bert Long sets a guillotine choke but Wright slips out at the last moment. Wright is now caught in guard. Wright backs out of the guard, and chooses to stand with his opponent, allowing him to his feet. Long fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Wright. Bert grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that puts Wright on the floor. Long dances around Riggs Wrights legs and throws a hard kick to the body. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
