A single-leg attempt is well defended by Buzz. Lucas stands up, lifting the leg of Buzz and executing a trip takedown. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Lucas Cherry narrowly dodges a cross from Griffin, but falls catching him in his guard. Lucas attempts an armbar. Buzz Griffin time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Lucass guard. Griffin takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Lucas Cherrys guard. It doesn't pay off as Lucas Cherry makes his way to standing. Buzz circles Lucas, mixing jabs with body shots. Buzz Griffin snaps back the head of Lucas with a stiff jab. Griffin stuffs a shot from Cherry and lands several shots to his body. Cherry attempts to pull guard but Griffin makes it to side mount. Lucas Cherry almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Griffin attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Lucas for his troubles. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Griffin throws a cross that easily dodged by Lucas. Griffin circles Lucas, landing jabs and crosses at will. Cherry keeps Buzz Griffin at a distance with some well timed jabs. Cherry is staggered by a jab to the chin. "MCC" connects with a strong right hook. Griffin attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Lucas takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Round 3 comes to a close.
