Round 1 Guzman snaps back the head of Barry Thomas with a stiff jab. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Barry Thomas drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Rommel sets a guillotine choke but Barry Thomas slips out at the last moment. Barry Thomas is now caught in guard. Guzman attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Barry receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Guzman. Guzman connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Thomas is dazed on the mat. Guzman attempts to drop a fist on Barry Thomas, but misses and lands in his guard. Guzman drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Barry Thomas lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Thomas connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Guzman is caught in a triangle while in Barrys guard. He struggles but cannot get out. He eventually taps.
