Round 1 Justin Young is staggered by a jab to the chin. Justin takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Young throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Cory puts Young on the mat giving his back up. Cory peppers Justin Young with several shots to the face. Justin starts to wiggle out of back control, Cory lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Young is staggered by a jab to the chin. "The Tripod" attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Young takes advantage of the moment taking side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 A shot catches Cory off balance and off guard. Justin spears him but can only manage to make it to guard. Cory attempts an armbar. Justin Young time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Griffins guard. Justin takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Corys guard. It doesn't pay off as "The Tripod" makes his way to standing. Cory Griffin snaps back the head of Justin Young with a stiff jab. Young ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Griffin and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Young wraps around Griffins waist, and drags him to his back, taking side control Cory almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Cory takes a few knees to the body while under Justin Youngs side control. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Griffin parries Youngs jab and connect with a cross. The fighters circle each other. "The Tripod" executes a single leg giving him the back of Justin. Cory Griffin lands a series of heavy punches forcing Young to roll to his back, giving Cory Griffin mount. "The Tripod" secures his position. Justin attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Round 3 is over.
Round 4 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Griffin places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. "The Tripod" escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Cory attempts a takedown, but Justin clumsily falls down without much provocation. Cory Griffin drops a huge strike to Youngs chin, landing into his guard. "The Tripod" takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Justins guard. It doesn't pay off as Young makes his way to standing. Young narrowly dodges a cross from Cory Griffin, but falls catching him in his guard. Cory attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Justin Young slips out of it at the last moment. Young taps out due to a hammer lock.
