Round 1 Barry Thomas keeps Zhorah at a distance with some well timed jabs. Barry Thomas narrowly dodges a cross from Zhorah, but falls catching him in his guard. Barry attempts an armbar. Zhorah time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Barrys guard. Zhorah eats a stiff punch to the face, and is then swithced, giving Barry Thomas full mount. Zhorah shifts his head and hips to keep Barry off balance and unable to land strikes. Zhorah attempts to escape mount but has no luck. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Zhorah eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Barry. Barry Thomas sends Tretyakov to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Barry attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Zhorah Tretyakov slips out of it at the last moment. A kimura attempt is defended well by Thomas and he is able to sneak his leg through Zhorah Tretyakovs loose guard, to half guard. Thomas tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Barry Thomas slams his knee into Zhorahs ribs. Thomas slams his knee into Tretyakovs ribs. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Barry works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Thomas attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with Tretyakov standing over him. Zhorah Tretyakov attempts to drop a fist on Thomas, but misses and lands in his guard. Thomas shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Zhorah Tretyakov tries to pass guard but Barry stops him with a well timed punch. Barry Thomas connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Barry Thomas attempts an omoplata and almost has it sunk but Tretyakov is able to survive any major damage. Barry Thomas cannot finish the hold and decides to stand up. Round 3 is over.
