Round 1 Luiz circles Raiden, landing jabs at will. Barros snaps back the head of "Thunder God" with a stiff jab. "Thunder God" attempts a lazy shot, which Barros sprawls, eventually taking "Thunder God" back. Barros lands a series of heavy punches forcing "Thunder God" to roll to his back, giving Barros mount. Barros secures his position. Luiz Barros punishes Kaneko with a series of strikes from the mount. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Barros stuffs a shot from Raiden and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. A kimura attempt is defended well by Barros and he is able to sneak his leg through Raidens loose guard, to half guard. Luiz is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Barros splits "Thunder Gods" nose open with a well timed punch. Kaneko gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Luiz peppers Raiden with several shots to the face. Raiden starts to wiggle out of back control, Luiz lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Luiz Barros connects with a series of punches forcing Raiden Kaneko into a clinch. Raiden attempts to grab the plum but is kept off balance by Luizs strikes. "Thunder God" recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Raiden attempts a takedown but slips, and Luiz backs away. Luiz is standing over Raiden. Luiz Barros drops a huge strike to Raiden Kanekos chin, landing into his guard. Barros takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Kanekos guard. It doesn't pay off as Kaneko makes his way to standing. Raiden Kaneko is hit with a jab-cross and then brutally shoved to the ground. Luiz falls into his guard, delivering a strong punch as he does so. Barros dodges a few strikes from "Thunder God" and cuts him open with a couple of powerful elbows. Raiden Kaneko attempts a few a shots from the guard, but gets mounted for his troubles. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
