Round 1 Cleto fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Carter. "The H Bomb" gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Jake drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Cleto sets a guillotine choke but Jake slips out at the last moment. Jake is now caught in guard. "DBA" shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Jake tries to pass guard but "DBA" stops him with a well timed punch. Jake rains down hammer fists. "DBA" begins to work the rubber guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Jake Carter works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. "The H Bomb" attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Romero pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Carter circles Romero, landing jabs at will. Cleto Romero keeps "The H Bomb" at a distance with some well timed jabs. Carter takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Cleto attempts a takedown, but Carter clumsily falls down without much provocation. Cleto drops a huge strike to Jake Carters chin, landing into his guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 A single-leg attempt is well defended by "DBA". Jake Carter stands up, lifting the leg of "DBA" and executing a trip takedown. Cleto gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Jake Carter is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Jake Carter maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Cleto gets pummeled by the fists of "The H Bomb". Cleto gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Jake Carter peppers Cleto with several shots to the face. Carter lands one solid shot the chin. Romero goes limp and it's over.
