Round 3 Ely Bozano throws a strike that Rip Reed slips and then uses a Kosoto Gake trip and falls into Bozanos guard. Bozano connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Ely backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Bozano takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Ely Bozano throws a cross that easily dodged by Rip. Two quick punches opens up Ely Bozano for a takedown. Rip Reed pushes in and executes a forward foot sweep that puts Ely Bozano on his back. Rip Reed falls into side control. Ely takes a few knees to the body while under Reeds side control. Reed slides his knee across the body of Bozano and takes full mount. The bell signals the end of round 3.
