Round 1
"The Death Soldier" snaps back the head of Williams with a stiff jab. Frye narrowly dodges a cross from "The Death Soldier", but falls catching him in his guard. Genji takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Williamss guard. It doesn't pay off as Frye Williams makes his way to standing. Genji parries Fryes jab and connect with a cross. "The Death Soldier" fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Frye Williams. Frye Williams dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Genji standing over him. "The Death Soldier" drops a huge strike to Williamss chin, landing into his guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Manabu Genji is hit with a jab and then taken down by a beautiful single-leg takedown. Manabu is caught in a can opener and opens his guard. He lands two quick strikes but Williams transitions to half guard. Frye Williams tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Frye Williams slips out of half guard and into side control. Manabu Genji takes a few knees to the body while under Williamss side control. Genji is wisely defending a kimura. Frye Williams attempts to take it but Genji is having none of it, though Frye Williams has used the chance the slide into mount.Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
"The Death Soldier" wraps around Williamss waist, and drags him to his back, taking side control Frye Williams is wisely defending a kimura. Manabu attempts to take it but Frye Williams is having none of it, though Manabu has used the chance the slide into mount. Frye Williams shifts his head and hips to keep Genji off balance and unable to land strikes. Frye gets pummeled by the fists of Manabu. Frye gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Frye carefully protects himself from Genjis strikes. Manabu tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. The round comes to an end.
