Round 1 Cardoso parries Macs jab and connect with a cross. Cardoso is hit with a jab-cross and then brutally shoved to the ground. Wilson falls into his guard, delivering a strong punch as he does so. Mac takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Joaquims guard. It doesn't pay off as Joaquim makes his way to standing. Joaquim circles Wilson, landing jabs and crosses at will. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Wilson grabs the plum and tosses Cardoso to the ground. Mac drops a huge strike to Joaquims chin, landing into his guard. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Joaquim Cardoso stuff a shot from Mac and lands several shots to the body. Mac attempts to pull guard but Joaquim Cardoso pushes his way to half guard. Cardoso slips out of half guard and into side control. Joaquim Cardoso lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Mac gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As Joaquim spins around to take it, Mac makes his way back to his feet. Cardoso sends Wilson to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Mac lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Joaquim Cardoso drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Mac Wilson tries to slide out of guard, but a scramble ensues. Joaquim Cardoso ends up mounted by Mac Wilson. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Joaquim Cardoso stuff a shot from Wilson and lands several shots to the body. Wilson attempts to pull guard but Joaquim Cardoso pushes his way to half guard. Joaquim Cardoso slips out of half guard and into side control. Wilson takes a few knees to the body while under Cardosos side control. Wilson gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As Cardoso spins around to take it, Wilson makes his way back to his feet. Wilson shoots in on Joaquim but cannot finish the takedown. Joaquim lands a couple of knees to the head, forcing Wilson to roll to his guard. Joaquim drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Mac goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Joaquim slips out at the last second. Joaquim pushes down Wilsons leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
