Round 1
Rommel keeps Jesus Huerta at a distance with some well timed jabs. Rommel Lopez sends Jesus to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Lopez drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. An heel strike attempt is dodged by Lopez and he traps Jesus Huertas extended leg to move to half guard. Lopez slams his knee into Huertas ribs. Lopez tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Rommel is able to slip into mount from the half guard. The round comes to an end.

Round 2
Jesus eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Lopez. Rommel keeps Jesus at a distance with some well timed jabs. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Lopez escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Rommel Lopez shoots a takedown from a distance putting Jesus Huerta on the ground. Rommel takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Huertas guard. It doesn't pay off as Jesus Huerta makes his way to standing. Rommel narrowly dodges a cross from Huerta, but falls catching him in his guard. Rommel sets in an omaplata, forcing Jesus to roll through, giving Rommel side control. Lopez lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Jesus Huerta gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Round 2 is over.

Round 3
Rommel Lopez fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Huerta. Rommel Lopez places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Jesus Huerta drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Rommel sets a guillotine choke but Jesus Huerta slips out at the last moment. Jesus Huerta is now caught in guard. Rommel begins to work the rubber guard. Huerta drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Rommel Lopez shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Rommel Lopez works the rubber guard on Jesus Huerta, eventually allowing an omaplata to be set in. Jesus Huerta quickly taps out.
