Round 1 Brent connects with a series of punches forcing Gus into a clinch. Brent Rogers places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Gus attempts a takedown from the clinch, but "Gorilla Thrilla" pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Gus Colon eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Brent Rogers. Gus Colon grabs for a clinch but "Gorilla Thrilla" grazes him with an uppercut. Gus Colon staggers back, then surprises "Gorilla Thrilla" with a powerful superman punch. Gus eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Brent. Rogers connects with a right that puts Colon off balance tumbling to the mat, as Rogers towers over him. "Gorilla Thrilla" drops a huge strike to Gus Colons chin, landing into his guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Brent Rogers takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Brent Rogers shoots in on Gus Colon who sprawls well and lands multiple outside strikes. Brent Rogers gives up on the shot and rolls to his guard. Brent goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Gus Colon slips out at the last second. Brent Rogers sinks a deep kimura, but Colon slides out. This gives Brent Rogers the chance to switch to half guard. Colon is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Brent Rogers gives his back up trying to escape the mount. "Gorilla Thrilla" starts to wiggle out of back control, Gus Colon lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Gus circles Rogers, landing jabs at will. "Gorilla Thrilla" attempts a takedown but slips, and Gus Colon backs away. Gus Colon is standing over "Gorilla Thrilla".Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Gus Colon connects with a strong right hook. Colon sprawls a takedown attempt from Brent. Brent eats several punches on the way back to his feet. Rogerss legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. Colon connects with a hard right hand putting Rogers on the mat. Colon goes down with him into side control. The bell signals the end of round 3.
