Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Santoro is able to work to two overhooks and lands some strong knees and short hooks. Maurice recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Oscar lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. Oscar dodges a jab and throws a knee to the midsection of Maurice Powell. Maurice is staggered by a jab to the chin. "God of War" is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. Oscar Santoro attempts to drop a fist on Maurice Powell, but misses and lands in his guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Powell is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Oscar Santoro. Maurice weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Oscar Santoro snaps back the head of "God of War" with a stiff jab. Oscar Santoro circles "God of War", landing jabs and crosses at will. Oscar connects with a right that puts Maurice off balance tumbling to the mat, as Oscar towers over him. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Oscar Santoro takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Powell is rocked by a standing elbow strike. Oscar Santoro presses forward landing a couple more strikes, but Powell survives the onslaught with well timed blocks. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Round 3 comes to a close.
