Round 1 Marty attempts a striking combination, but Perez forces the clinch. Marty McConomy gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. McConomy recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Marty McConomy attempts to clinch, but Perez connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Gabo is staggered by a jab to the chin. McConomy lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Gabo. Marty takes down Perez, but remains standing over him. McConomy lays into Gabo Perezs thighs with some well timed kicks while Gabo Perez is grounded. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 McConomy is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Gabo. Marty snaps back the head of Gabo with a stiff jab. After dodging a jab, Perez lands a kick to the ribs of Marty who winces in pain. After dodging a jab, Perez lands a kick to the ribs of Marty who winces in pain. Gabo Perez lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Marty. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Gabo parries Marty McConomys jab and connect with a cross. Gabo sends Marty McConomy to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Gabo drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Gabo Perez defends a triangle attempt, throwing Marty McConomys straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. McConomy is able to hold him to half guard. Gabo Perez slams his knee into Martys ribs. Gabo slips out of half guard and into side control. McConomy gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Marty starts to wiggle out of back control, Perez lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Gabo Perez lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. Round 3 is over.
