Round 1 "Je suis Charlie" connects with a hard punch making Eduardo Vasquez bring him in to a tight clinch. McCann works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Eduardo recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Eduardo Vasquezs legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. Eduardo eats a jab,jab, then a hook from "Je suis Charlie". "Je suis Charlie" unleashes a flurry of punches on Vasquez. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 James is staggered by a jab to the chin. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. James drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Eduardo Vasquez sets a guillotine choke but James slips out at the last moment. James is now caught in guard. "Je suis Charlie" uses strikes to open Eduardo Vasquezs guard. "Je suis Charlie" stands up and waves Eduardo Vasquez up. Vasquez keeps McCann at a distance with some well timed jabs. Both fighters begin to exchange Vasquez catches James with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets James gather himself. James says he is ok and the fight continues. Eduardo Vasquez throws a few jabs at McCann that miss the mark. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Vasquez unleashes a flurry of punches on James. Eduardo connects with a hard punch making "Je suis Charlie" bring him in to a tight clinch. James McCann drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Eduardo Vasquez sets a guillotine choke but James McCann slips out at the last moment. James McCann is now caught in guard. Eduardo attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Vasquez traps James in the cage, landing a few strong punches to the face and body. Vasquez blocks a strong high kick from James and counters with a devastating left hook. Eduardo Vasquez narrowly dodges a cross from McCann, but falls catching him in his guard. Round 3 comes to a close.
