Round 1 Fortunato sends Yevgeni Belov to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Fortunato Velasquez drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Fortunato takes advantage of a mental laps from Belov and moves into full mount. Yevgeni gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Velasquez tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Belov starts to wiggle out of back control, Fortunato Velasquez lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Fortunato connects with a hard punch making Belov bring him in to a tight clinch. Yevgeni receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Fortunato. Fortunato escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Fortunato Velasquez parries Belovs jab and lands a hook that floors Yevgeni Belov. Fortunato kicks at the legs of Belov and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Belov to stand. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Yevgeni Belov winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Yevgeni weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Fortunato circles Belov, landing jabs and crosses at will. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Velasquez hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Yevgeni ducks and weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty uppercut. Yevgeni Belov throws a push kick. Fortunato shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Yevgenis nose.
Velasquez attempts a striking combination, but Yevgeni Belov forces the clinch. Fortunato Velasquez works Yevgeni Belov into the cage from the clinch. Fortunato Velasquez presses his head under Belovs chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Belov works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Belov has double underhooks, locks across the body, and takes Fortunato down to the mat, landing in great side control. Round 3 is finished.
