Round 1
Both fighters begin to exchange Coetzer catches Aguilar with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Aguilar gather himself. Aguilar says he is ok and the fight continues. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "EFC Africa" drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Coetzer takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Aguilars guard. It doesn't pay off as Marcelo Aguilar makes his way to standing. Wade Coetzer narrowly dodges a cross from Marcelo Aguilar, but falls catching him in his guard. Coetzer attempts to lock an omoplata, but Marcelo is able to muscle his way back to the guard. "Juanbagdeeice" tries to move to half guard but Coetzer uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Wade gets his arm underneath the neck of Aguilar while putting his opposite arm on the back of the head. Wade applies pressure forcing Aguilar to tumble over giving Wade mount. Round 1 comes to a close.

Round 2
Both fighters begin to exchange "Juanbagdeeice" catches Wade with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Wade gather himself. Wade says he is ok and the fight continues. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Wade takes Aguilars back standing. Wade lands a couple of uppercuts from behind. Marcelo Aguilar is able to work his way back around. Aguilar reaches over the shoulder of Wade and sets in a kimura. He rolls it over but has to release the hold, landing in half guard. Wade Coetzer tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. "EFC Africa" tries to scramble out of half guard, but Aguilar takes his back during it. Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
"EFC Africa" dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Marcelo connects with a series of punches forcing "EFC Africa" into a clinch. Wade Coetzer places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Marcelo is jockeying for position in the clinch. Wade receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Marcelo Aguilar. The round comes to an end.
