Round 1 Jose snaps back the head of Sonny Nelson with a stiff jab. Jose narrowly dodges a cross from "No Dice", but falls catching him in his guard. Nelson opens up the guard and rises back to his feet. Sonny kicks at the legs of Jose and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Jose to stand. Sonny Nelson sends Jose Cunha to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Sonny Nelson pushes down Joses leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Cunha hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Nelson throws a cross that easily dodged by Jose Cunha. Both fighters begin to exchange Nelson catches Cunha with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Cunha gather himself. Cunha says he is ok and the fight continues. "No Dice" stuffs a shot from Cunha and delivers a strong knee to the temple. Cunha tries to roll to guard but "No Dice" follows him, landing a series of strikes until the ref steps in halting the bout.
