Round 1
Yves sprawls a takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson eats several punches on the way back to his feet. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Yves works to Johnsons back while standing. Yves throws a couple of outside shots until Chad is able to work his way back to the clinch. A stiff elbow looks to have Chad dazed. Yves takes Chad Johnsons back standing. Johnson isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Yves lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Johnson to release. Chad parries Lessards jab and connect with a cross. Yves Lessard connects with numerous jabs to the face of Chad Johnson. Yves Lessard hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Yves Lessard peppers Johnson with a flurry of punches that cannot be kept up with. The bell signals the end of round 1.

Round 2
Lessard sprawls a takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson eats several punches on the way back to his feet. Yves Lessard connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Both fighters begin to exchange Lessard catches Chad Johnson with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Chad Johnson gather himself. Chad Johnson says he is ok and the fight continues. Lessard traps Chad Johnson in the cage, landing a few strong punches to the face and body. Johnson throws a teep backing Lessard off. The round comes to an end.

Round 3
Chad connects with a hard punch making Lessard bring him in to a tight clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Lessard takes "Black Dragons" back standing. Chad isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Lessard lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Chad to release. Johnson pushes away from Lessard and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. Yves traps "Black Dragon" in the cage, landing a few strong punches to the face and body. After dodging a jab, "Black Dragon" lands a kick to the ribs of Yves who winces in pain. Lessard is hit with a jab then hook to the body and stumbles backward. Chad explodes forward with a push kick that puts Lessard on the canvas. "Black Dragon" pounces on Yves Lessard, but is met with a powerful upkick. "Black Dragon" manages to land into side control though.Round 3 comes to a close.
