Round 1 Nachito connects with a series of punches forcing Shibata into a clinch. Two short elbows from the clinch put Shibata off balance. Nachito holds him up, landing two more quick elbows. Nachito uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. Hiroki is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Nachito. Cortez uses strikes to open Shibatas guard. Cortez stands up and waves Shibata up. Shibata connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Cortez starts to put on the pressure, forcing Shibata back into the cage. Cortez takes advantage and clinches. A stiff elbow looks to have Shibata dazed. Shibata is hit by successive knees on either side of his ribcage. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Hiroki Shibata connects with a jab cross combination. Shibata connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Hiroki Shibata circles Nachito Cortez, landing jabs and crosses at will. Nachito lands a standing elbow. Shibata grazes him with a jab-cross but Nachito counters with another elbow attack. Shibata has a small gash under his eye. Nachito is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Shibata. Nachito Cortez lands a standing elbow. Round 3 Nachito slips a cross from Hiroki and lands jab cross to the body. Hiroki parries Nachitos jab and lands a hook. Hiroki bitch slaps Nachito. Nachito Cortez takes in a well composed combination of quick strikes from Hiroki Shibata. Nachito Cortez throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Shibata puts Nachito Cortez on the mat giving his back up. The bell signals the end of round 3.
