Round 1
Javi Alvarez moves in to press the action, but Kai Achterberg lands a heavy back kick. Kai ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Alvarez to the mat, and his back. Alvarez carefully protects himself from Achterbergs strikes. Javi Alvarez slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Kai Achterberg hits an uppercut to the head of Javi followed by a hard hook. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Javi Alvarez is hit with a jab then hook to the body and stumbles backward. Kai explodes forward with a push kick that puts Javi Alvarez on the canvas. Round 1 is finished.

Round 2
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Alvarez throws a solid knee to the jaw of Kai Achterberg. Alvarez escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Kai moves in to press the action, but Javi lands a heavy back kick. Javi Alvarez eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Kai. Javi lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Kai. Javi then switch kicks Kai on the opposing rib. Kai Achterberg parries a jab but is caught by a sweeping leg kick that sends him to the floor. Javi Alvarez throws a short kick to the downed Kai Achterberg. Kai Achterberg takes the chance to rise back to his feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 3
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Javi Alvarez works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Kai Achterberg takes the back of Alvarez who works for a kimura. Kai Achterberg pulls his arm out of the hold and push Alvarez away. Javi pushes away from Kai Achterberg and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. Javi Alvarez just misses with a head kick, grazing Achterbergs skull.
