Round 1 Payakaroon connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Nunez connects with a strong body shot combo. Buakaw circles Agus, mixing jabs with body shots. Nunez is struck by some looping punches and kicks and goes for the clinch to shorten the distance. Buakaw welcomes the clinch landing a lead knee and a powerful elbow. Then pushes Nunez back to striking distance. Buakaw lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Agus Nunez. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Round 2 Buakaw Payakaroon eats a stiff kick to the face. Agus gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Nunez carefully protects himself from Payakaroons strikes. Agus Nunez is able to make it back to the standing position. Buakaw Payakaroon lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Agus Nunez. Buakaw is met with a strong kick to the ribs. After dodging a jab, Agus lands a kick to the liver of Buakaw Payakaroon who steps back only to take a knee. Agus rushes forward to capitalize but Buakaw Payakaroon falls to his back to avoid the onslaught. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 After dodging a jab, Buakaw Payakaroon lands a kick to the ribs of Agus Nunez who winces in pain. Payakaroon moves in to press the action, but Nunez lands a heavy back kick. Nunez snaps back the head of Buakaw with a stiff jab. Nunez throws a cross that easily dodged by Buakaw Payakaroon. After dodging a jab-cross, Buakaw Payakaroon lands a kick to the liver of Agus Nunez who steps back and begins to take a knee. Buakaw Payakaroon rushes forward to capitalize but Agus Nunez stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. The round comes to an end.
