Round 1 Bruce clinches with Chris Fernandez and pulls guard but Chris Fernandez gets in his half guard on the way down. Bruce Davidson snatches a kimura lock but Chris spins around quickly to the other side holding dominant side control. Chris attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Bruce Davidson for his troubles. Bruce gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As Chris spins around to take it, Bruce makes his way back to his feet. Chris sends Davidson to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Davidson attempts an armbar. Chris Fernandez time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Bruce Davidsons guard. Chris Fernandez drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Chris eats a stiff punch to the face, and is then switched, giving Davidson full mount. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Chris Fernandez connects with a series of punches forcing Bruce into a clinch. Davidson receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. Chris Fernandez attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Bruce Davidson pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 A couple of powerful body shots forces Davidson back to the cage. Fernandez swims to double underhooks. Davidson cannot stop Fernandez from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Davidson pulls Fernandez close and connects with a few heel strikes to the back. Chris sits up in Bruces open guard and spins to an leg lock. Davidson is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. Davidson hits an uppercut to the head of Chris Fernandez followed by a hard hook. Chris connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Bruce. Davidson is brought to his back by a well executed takedown from Fernandez. Fernandez now has side control. Fernandez lands a few stiff elbows from side control. A knee to belly allows Bruce Davidson to twist from his back, pulling Chris off balance. Bruce Davidson then switches him to guard and stands up. Bruce Davidson allows Chris to stand. The bell signals the end of round 3.
