Round 1 Ward executes a single leg giving him the back of John. John tries to explode out the backdoor but "The Psycho " sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. John falls flat to protect himself. John starts to wiggle out of back control, Jon Ward lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Jon Ward reaches down and trips John Carpenter with a beautiful ankle pick. Jon Ward dives into side control. Ward slides his knee across the body of John and takes full mount. "The Psycho " punishes Carpenter with a series of strikes from the mount. John Carpenter attempts to buck Jon off from mount but Jon keeps his base and maintains position. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Jon connects with numerous jabs to the face of Carpenter. John is hit with two hard punches to his face. John laughs off the punches. John Carpenter eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Jon Ward. John Carpenter throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Jon Ward puts John Carpenter on the mat giving his back up. Ward lands a double punch to the head of John Carpenter. Jon lands a double punch to the head of Carpenter. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Jon executes a single leg giving him the back of John Carpenter. "The Psycho " slides off to the side of Carpenter and lands several heavy knees into his ribs. Before he can lose the position, "The Psycho " switches back to full back control. John starts to wiggle out of back control, Ward lets him escape putting them both on their feet. A shot from "The Psycho " is countered by a guillotine from John. "The Psycho " follows through with a slam, landing in side mount, nullifying the choke. Jon slides his knee across the body of John and takes full mount. Carpenter attempts to buck Ward off from mount but Ward keeps his base and maintains position. John Carpenter bucks off Jon and both fighters get to their feet. Round 3 is finished.
