Round 1 Arsenio Montoya fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Derrick. "Aldo" places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Derrick Rossborough attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Arsenio pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Derrick Rossborough hits an uppercut to the head of Arsenio followed by a hard hook. Rossborough winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Arsenio Montoya connects with a right that puts Rossborough off balance tumbling to the mat, as Arsenio Montoya towers over him. Arsenio pounces on Derrick Rossborough, but is met with a powerful upkick. Arsenio manages to land into side control though. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Derrick narrowly dodges a cross from Arsenio, but falls catching him in his guard. Montoya drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Derrick backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Arsenio Montoya connects with a jab cross combination. "Aldo" winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. "Aldo" is hit with a jab but is able to slip a cross and grab a arm-triangle in standing. "Aldo" trips Rossborough to the floor, landing in side control. Arsenio Montoya throws his knee into the ribs of Rossborough. Derrick sweeps over Montoya and quickly obtains mount position. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Rossborough blocks a hook cross combo but is pushed backward. Montoya tries to press the action but is met with a hook, uppercut that keeps him at bay. A wild hook from Rossborough is ducked by Arsenio who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Derrick Rossborough hits an uppercut to the head of Arsenio followed by a hard hook. "Kuumiteee" is met with a cross and a liver shot that staggers him. "Aldo" explodes with a flurry of punches. "Kuumiteee" is then thrown to the floor. Round 3 is over.
