Round 1 "Kum Once" lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Branden Cole. Branden catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping "Kum Once". The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 The fighters circle each other. "Kumite" buckles Rivera with a kick. "Kumite" rushes forward to grab a guillotine, then falls to guard. Rivera is in trouble but is able to muscles his way out of the choke. Cole gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. "Kumite" goes to deep half guard and rocks forward then backward hitting a sweep on Manuel Rivera and ending up in side control. Manuel Rivera sweeps over Cole and quickly obtains mount position. Manuel is pulled in tight, and then switched over on his back. Branden is now caught in Manuels guard. "Kumite" pushes down "Kum Onces" leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Branden Cole is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Manuel bucks off Cole and both fighters get to their feet. Branden Cole connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 "Kum Once" is struck by some looping punches and kicks and goes for the clinch to shorten the distance. Branden welcomes the clinch landing a lead knee and a powerful elbow. Then pushes "Kum Once" back to striking distance. Manuel Rivera narrowly dodges a cross from Branden Cole, but falls catching him in his guard. Branden Cole pushes down "Kum Onces" leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. "Kum Once" pops his head under the arm of Cole reaches down and grabs the foot. Wrenches up for a calf lock. Cole rolls out of the attempt. Both fighters are standing. Branden parries Manuels jab and connect with a cross. Branden Cole narrowly dodges a cross from Rivera, but falls catching him in his guard. Rivera tries to pass guard but Branden Cole stops him with a well timed punch. Cole dodges some ground strikes from "Kum Once", and sends a few back of his own. Branden attempts to create some space from his guard, but "Kum Once" sees the opening and passes to full mount. Round 3 is finished.
