Round 1
Belfort hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of "The Virus". Gad weaves through a jab-cross combo but is met with a strong knee. "The Virus" hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Assis Belfort. Cyrus Gad throws a few jabs at Assis that miss the mark. Belfort hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Round 1 is finished.

Round 2
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Cyrus Gad places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Gad dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Assis Belfort standing over him. Belfort stands over Cyrus Gad, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Cyrus Gad is able to grab an arm and pull Belfort into his guard. A tight body triangle from the bottom position forces Belfort to pull "The Virus" close. Belfort is having trouble breathing in Gads guard. Cyrus Gad dodges some ground strikes from "Thicker Than Oatmeal", and sends a few back of his own. Belfort tries to pass guard but Cyrus Gad stops him with a well timed punch. Belfort presses the action while in the guard, but "The Virus" is able to switch him into mount. Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
"The Virus" connects with a hard jab as Assis attempts a wide outside hook. Assis Belfort connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. "The Virus" hunts down his opponent and throws 2 heavy haymakers that get nothing but air. "The Virus" throws a few jabs at Assis that miss the mark. Both fighters begin to exchange Cyrus Gad catches Assis Belfort with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Assis Belfort gather himself. Assis Belfort says he is ok and the fight continues. Cyrus weaves through a jab-cross combo from Belfort but is met with a powerful shot to the ribs that knocks the wind out of him. Belfort throws an uppercut, then a cross that knocks Cyrus out.
