Round 1
Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. "The Pretzel" stuffs a shot from "Thicker Than Oatmeal" and hits him with an outside body shot. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" gives up on the takedown and pulls guard. "The Pretzel" locks a kimura but Assis is too strong and he cannot finish it. He settles for a couple shots to Belforts face. A can opener from Ekkehardt opens up Belforts guard. Ekkehardt lands two quick strikes as he moves into half guard. Ritzel is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Assis gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Belfort starts to wiggle out of back control, Ekkehardt lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Ekkehardt stuffs a shot from Belfort and lands some powerful outside hammerfists, eventually taking side mount. Round 1 comes to a close.

Round 2
Ritzel tries to hyperextend the knee of Assis Belfort with a kick to the kneecap. Assis Belfort hops back to avoid it. "The Pretzel" circles Assis Belfort, landing jabs at will. Assis is staggered by a jab to the chin. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" traps Ritzel in the cage, landing a few strong punches to the face and body. Assis gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. The round comes to an end.

Round 3
Ekkehardt Ritzel throws a hard jab but Assis throws a cross right over the top rocking Ekkehardt Ritzel. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. "The Pretzel" throws a few jabs at Assis that miss the mark. Assis Belfort grabs for a clinch but "The Pretzel" grazes him with an uppercut. Assis Belfort staggers back, then surprises "The Pretzel" with a powerful superman punch. Assis connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" connects with jab cross combination. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" keeps Ekkehardt Ritzel at a distance with some well timed jabs. Assis Belfort lands a hook to the body. Ekkehardt connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Ritzel connects with a strong body shot combo. Round 3 comes to a close.
