Round 1 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Jim lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. Douglas lands a double jab. Douglas dodges a jab and throws a kick to the midsection of Assis. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Both fighters begin to exchange Douglas catches Belfort with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Belfort gather himself. Belfort says he is ok and the fight continues. Douglas gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Jim Douglas carefully protects himself from Assis Belforts strikes. Jim starts to wiggle out of back control, Assis Belfort lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Jim Douglas dodges a jab and lands a kick to the face of "Thicker Than Oatmeal". Jim shuffles away from Assis Belforts strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Jim Douglas connects with a right that puts Assis Belfort off balance tumbling to the mat, as Jim Douglas towers over him.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Douglas throws a hard leg kick but is checked by Assis Belfort. Assis fires a haymaker but misses spinning himself around. Douglas quickly takes his back. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" carefully protects himself from Jim Douglass strikes. Assis Belfort slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Belfort grabs for a clinch but Douglas grazes him with an uppercut. Belfort staggers back, then surprises Douglas with a powerful superman punch. Jim circles "Thicker Than Oatmeal", landing a front snap kick that stuns him. Jim is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Jim that puts him on the floor. Round 3 is over.
