Round 1 Jay Kim blocks a hook cross combo but is pushed backward. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" tries to press the action but is met with a hook, uppercut that keeps him at bay. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" parries a jab but leaves himself open for a hard cross that sends him to the canvas. Jay Kim follows with a falling punch into "Thicker Than Oatmeals" guard. "Kumite BAE" connects with a hard punch making Belfort bring him in to a tight clinch. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Jay standing over him. "Kumite BAE" cannot find an opening to pounce. The ref brings Assis back to his feet.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Kim eats a strong cross as Assis Belfort moves into the clinch. Jay Kim works Assis Belfort into the cage from the clinch. Jay Kim presses his head under Belforts chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Kim fakes a shot attempt from the clinch, opening Assis Belfort up for a flurry of hooks. A jab from Kim is blocked and a cross is returned by Assis Belfort. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Assis Belfort connects with a sweeping kick at the leg of Jay. Belfort weaves through a jab-cross combo from "Kumite BAE" but is met with a powerful uppercut that knocks him to the floor. Jay stands over "Thicker Than Oatmeal", works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" is able to grab an arm and pull Jay into his guard. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 "Thicker Than Oatmeal" lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Jay Kim. Jay feints and follows up with a hard cross. Assis stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark. Jay connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Kim hits an uppercut to the head of Belfort followed by a hard hook. Assis weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Assis blocks a cross, liver shot combo but is pushed backward. Kim tries to press the action but is met with a hook, uppercut that keep him at bay. Kim lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a strong uppercut. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch "Kumite BAE" wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of "Thicker Than Oatmeal". Round 3 is over.
