Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Eric Yang works to Alper Ekmekcis back while standing. Eric Yang throws a couple of outside shots until Ekmekci is able to work his way back to the clinch. Eric takes Ekmekcis back standing. Alper isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Eric lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Alper to release. Eric Yang connects with numerous jabs to the face of Ekmekci. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Alper Ekmekci throws a cross that easily dodged by Eric. Alper Ekmekci shoots in for a takedown but is instantly put to the ground by a hard knee from Eric Yang. Yang lays into Alpers thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Alper does so. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Eric Yang narrowly dodges a cross from Alper Ekmekci, but falls catching him in his guard. Eric Yang begins to posture on his side. Alper lands a couple of outside hooks and Eric Yang returns to the guard. "Se Lang" slides his body to the side and pushes out of guard. Ekmekci grabs a guillotine hold and forces "Se Lang" back down gaining side control. Eric Yang almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Alper slides his knee across the body of Yang and takes full mount. Alper secures his position. Eric Yang attempts to buck Alper off from mount but Alper keeps his base and maintains position. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Eric tries to stop a shot with a punch but Ekmekci plows through Erics attempt and ends up in guard. Alper Ekmekci attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. "Se Lang" slips out of it at the last moment. Ekmekci drops some elbows from guard, giving him a brief moment to switch over to side control. Ekmekci lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Ekmekci slides his knee across the body of Eric and takes full mount. Alper punishes Yang with a series of strikes from the mount. Ekmekci lands a double punch to the head of "Se Lang". Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 The fighters circle each other. A welt begins to form under Yangs eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Ekmekci. Eric connects with a hard jab as Ekmekci attempts a wide outside hook. Ekmekci ducks under a loopy hoop, taking "Se Lang" to the mat, and his back. Alper Ekmekci peppers Eric Yang with several shots to the face. Giving up his back, Yang panics and gives up mount instead. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 Eric tries to stop a shot with a punch but Alper plows through Erics attempt and ends up in guard. Ekmekci attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. "Se Lang" slips out of it at the last moment. "Se Lang" backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Alper reaches down and trips Yang with a beautiful ankle pick. Alper dives into back control. "Se Lang" carefully protects himself from Ekmekcis strikes. Alper Ekmekci peppers shot to the head of Eric Yang looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Eric Yang is hand playing well. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
