Round 1 Nate throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Bill Ryan is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. A welt begins to form under Bills eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Nate Baker. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Bill drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Nate sets a guillotine choke but Bill slips out at the last moment. Bill is now caught in guard. Nate Baker backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Ryan hits an uppercut to the head of Nate Baker followed by a hard hook. Nate Baker connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Bill Ryan. Baker loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Bill Ryan for the mistake. Bill Ryan has side control. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Bill ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Nate Baker to the mat, and his back. Bill Ryan tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Baker starts to wiggle out of back control, Ryan lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Bill locks around the waist of Baker. He sneaks his foot behind Nates and trips him to the floor, taking side control. Ryan attempts an armbar, but Baker stops the attempt. Ryan uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Bill Ryan maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Nate Baker lands a good elbow as Ryan lowers his torso.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 A jab from Nate Baker is blocked and a cross is returned by Bill. Nate connects with a hard punch making Bill bring him in to a tight clinch. Ryan receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. Nate works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Nate takes the back of Bill Ryan who works for a kimura. Nate pulls his arm out of the hold and push Bill Ryan away. Bill takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Baker connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Nate Baker circles Ryan, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Round 3 comes to a close.
