Round 1 Moody connects with a hard jab as Paul attempts a wide outside hook. Jon Moody dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. A welt begins to form under Moodys eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Darren. Moody grabs a single leg and pushes Darren to the fence. Both fighters are jockeying for positional control. Moody switches to a double leg but Darren does a good job of keeping his base. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Darren connects with a jab cross combination. Jon Moody shoots a takedown from a distance putting Darren Paul on the ground. Jon Moody takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Pauls guard. It doesn't pay off as Darren Paul makes his way to standing. Jon parries Darrens jab and connect with a cross. Darren connects with a series of punches forcing Jon Moody into a clinch. Jon Moody takes Darren Pauls back standing. Jon Moody lifts up Darren and dumps him on his back, taking side control. Jon drops a huge strike to Darren Pauls chin, landing into his guard. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Jon Moody connects with a strong right hook. Jon hoists up Darren in the air for a slam but Darren makes himself too heavy and gets his feet back to the ground. Moody tries to hyperextend the knee of Paul with a kick to the kneecap. Paul hops back to avoid it. Jon Moody throws a few jabs at Paul that miss the mark. Round 3 is over.
