Round 1 Ayrton Gonzalez is staggered by a jab to the chin. A welt begins to form under Ayrtons eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Marcus Russell. Marcus Russell attempts a jab but is countered by a hard right leg kick to the knee. Russell connects with a series of punches forcing Ayrton Gonzalez into a clinch. Ayrton throws a short elbow at Marcus. Russell stomps the feet of Ayrton. Marcus Russell is able to work to two overhooks and lands some strong knees and short hooks. Marcus takes Ayrton Gonzalezs back standing. Ayrton isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Marcus lands a stiff shovel punch that dazes Ayrton. Marcus continues forward landing multiple strikes until the ref steps in.
