Round 1 Cole is staggered by a jab to the chin. Bailey fakes an overhand and is able to take down Shelton with a double ankle pick. Cole drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Cole Bailey presses the action while in the guard, but Shelton is able to switch him into mount. Shelton Popham maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Round 2 Shelton fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Cole to a corner. Cole swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Bailey start to move for the kimura but Popham postures up and drop a powerful double-axe handle that forces Bailey flat on his back. Shelton takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Baileys guard. It doesn't pay off as Cole makes his way to standing. Popham circles Cole Bailey, mixing jabs with body shots. Cole Bailey is staggered by a jab to the chin. Cole Bailey shoots but Shelton Popham stuffs it, eventually working in a whizzer and landing some sharp knees that allows him to move to side mount. Shelton lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Cole takes a few knees to the body while under Pophams side control. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Popham circles Bailey, mixing jabs with body shots. Shelton takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Cole ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Popham to the mat, and his back. Cole Bailey peppers Popham with several shots to the face. Popham is able to make it back to the standing position. Cole Bailey snaps back the head of Shelton with a stiff jab. Cole Bailey attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Popham takes advantage of the moment taking side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Popham connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Cole is dazed on the mat. Shelton attempts to drop a fist on Bailey, but misses and lands in his guard. Bailey connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Shelton drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Shelton Popham strikes to the body of Cole from in guard, opening Cole up for a headshot which bruises his brow. Shelton Popham attempts to pass Baileys guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. Round 4 is finished.
Round 5 The fighters circle each other. After dodging a jab, cross, Shelton lands a kick to the liver of Bailey who steps back only to take a knee. Shelton rushes forward to capitalize but Bailey stands back up and is met by a strong cross uppercut. Shelton snaps back the head of Bailey with a stiff jab. Cole Bailey is rocked by a standing elbow strike. Round 5 is over.
