Round 1 Salazar wraps around Youngs waste, and drags him to his back, taking side control Pili Salazar slides his knee across the body of Bryce and takes full mount. Pili punishes Bryce Young with a series of strikes from the mount. Salazar telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Bryce gives up his back to stop the attempt. Round 2 "Patas" throws a cross that easily dodged by Young. Young catches a leg kick from Pili Salazar, and puts him on the mat. Bryce attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Salazar slips out of it at the last moment. Young pushes down Salazars leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Bryce tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but to no luck. Bryce Young slams his knee into Pilis ribs. "Patas" positions himself back into full guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Pili Salazar throws a cross that easily dodged by Young. Salazar narrowly dodges a cross from Young, but falls catching him in his guard. Young drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Young pushes down Pili Salazars leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Pili Salazar tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. "Patas" tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Bryce Young slips out of half guard and into side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Young fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Pili Salazar. Bryce works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. "Patas" attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Bryce pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Pili takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Pili Salazar eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Young. Pili Salazar circles Young, landing jabs and crosses at will. Young takes Pili Salazar down to the mat with a good double leg takedown, leading to him standing over Pili Salazar. Bryce Young attempts to drop a fist on "Patas", but misses and lands in his guard. Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 Pili throws a cross that easily dodged by Bryce. Pili circles Bryce Young, landing jabs and crosses at will. "Patas" eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Bryce. Pili circles Bryce, mixing jabs with body shots. "Patas" snaps back the head of Young with a stiff jab. Bryce Young loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Salazar for the mistake. Salazar has side control.Round 5 comes to a close.
