Round 1 Kit looks to press the action with a flurry of punches but Rusty lands a strong lead-leg kick and circles away. Russow connects with a hard punch making Rodgers bring him in to a tight clinch. Rusty drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Kit Russow sets a guillotine choke but Rusty slips out at the last moment. Rusty is now caught in guard. "Surfer" backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Rodgers misses with an axe kick that has "Surfer" back up.
