Round 1 Shinga is staggered by a jab to the chin. Charl stuffs a shot from Morne Shinga and hits him with an outside body shot. Morne Shinga gives up on the takedown and pulls guard. Charl Biyase drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Morne Shinga is caught in a can opener and opens his guard. He lands two quick strikes but Charl Biyase transitions to half guard. Morne attempts to get to full guard but in the process gives up mount. Shinga gets pummeled by the fists of Biyase. Shinga gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn\'t quite make it. Shinga slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Charl Biyase circles Shinga, landing jabs and crosses at will. Morne Shinga winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Morne Shinga pressures his opponent into clinching. Shinga connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Biyase is dazed on the mat. Shinga throws a short kick to the downed Charl. Charl takes the chance to rise back to his feet. Morne throws a push kick. Charl Biyase shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Mornes nose.
Shinga connects with a series of punches forcing Charl Biyase into a clinch. Shinga connects a few knees to the upper torso of Charl Biyase. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Shinga attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Biyase pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Morne throws a hard jab but Charl Biyase throws a cross right over the top rocking Morne. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Charl throws a hard jab but Morne Shinga throws a cross right over the top rocking Charl. Morne Shinga connects with a series of punches forcing Charl Biyase into a clinch. Morne Shinga pushes Charl Biyase into the cage. Charl Biyase works a whizzer and attempts to turn Morne Shinga but Morne Shinga illegally grabs the cage for leverage. The referee is not in postition to see it. Charl is on the recieving end of a series of knees to the midsecion. Charl Biyase attempts to grab the plum but is met by an overhand punch from Morne. Shinga pushes Biyase into the cage. Biyase works a whizzer and attempts to turn Shinga but Shinga illegally grabs the cage for leverage. The referee sees it and breaks the clinch for a restart. Round 3 comes to a close.
