Round 1 The fighters advance and touch gloves. Emilio Churatupa dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Ismael connects with a hard punch making Churatupa bring him in to a tight clinch. Emilio is jockeying for position in the clinch. Emilio works to Ismael Kentas back while standing. Emilio throws a couple of outside shots until Ismael Kenta is able to work his way back to the clinch. Ismael Kenta works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. "Churro" decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Kenta with him. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Ismael Kenta lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Emilio. Kenta throws a crisp jab, but "Churro" slips it and moves in for the clinch. Ismael takes Churatupas back standing, but Emilio Churatupa isolates an arm and locks a spinning kimura but Ismael squirms out and both fighters end up standing. Emilio connects with a hard punch making Ismael Kenta bring him in to a tight clinch. Emilio Churatupa works Kenta into the cage from the clinch. Emilio Churatupa presses his head under Kentas chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Ismael Kenta goes for a hip throw of his own, but "Churro" is able to counter it, sending Ismael Kenta to the ground. "Churro" lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Emilio Churatupa attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Ismael Kenta for his troubles.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Ismael Kenta is struck by a ball kick from "Churro" that opens him up for a push kick to the midsection. Kenta dives in on a leg but "Churro" defends well forcing Kenta to get back to his feet into a clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. From the clinch, Emilio hurls Kenta over his hips dropping him hard to the mat. Emilio is able to get into half guard. Emilio Churatupa hits Ismael Kenta with some punches to the side of the head. Ismael pulls the foot in of Churatupa using leverage to sweep him into side control.Round 3 comes to a close.
