Round 1
The fighters advance and touch gloves. Concepcion attempts a striking combination, but Gene Reese forces the clinch. As both fighters jockey in the clinch Concepcion Garcia illegally grabs the top of the pants of Gene. With his opposite hand he reaches over the attire grab and grabs the back of the thigh of Gene. Concepcion Garcia dumps him over his own leg to his back finishing an efficient Obi Otoshi. Concepcion Garcia drops into side control. Garcia lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Concepcion attempts an armbar, but Gene Reese stops the attempt. Concepcion uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Concepcion punishes Reese with a series of strikes from the mount. Concepcion telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Reese gives up his back to stop the attempt. The bell signals the end of round 1.

Round 2
Concepcion Garcia connects with a hard punch making Gene bring him in to a tight clinch. Reese takes Garcias back standing, but Concepcion Garcia isolates an arm and locks a spinning kimura ending up in side mount. Reese almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. "The real Concepcion" slides his knee across the body of Gene Reese and takes full mount. Gene pulls Concepcion Garcia close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Gene bucks off "The real Concepcion" sweeping him to his back and slickly transitions to side control. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
Gene Reese connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. A wild hook from Concepcion Garcia is ducked by Gene Reese who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Concepcion connects with a hard punch making Reese bring him in to a tight clinch. "The real Concepcion" is jockeying for position in the clinch. Reese receieves numerous knees to the thighs from "The real Concepcion". Garcia drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
