Round 1
Jose Vazquez offers a glove touch, Ewoud Addicks shakes their head and advances. Jose takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Ewoud Addicks connects with a hard punch making Jose bring him in to a tight clinch. Jose Vazquez attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Addicks pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Jose is hit with a jab and then taken down by a beautiful single-leg takedown. "The Vortex" attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. A trip to the ground allows Jose to move into the guard of Ewoud Addicks. Vazquez attempts to spin to a kneebar but Addicks is ready for it. He twists out and scramble to side control. Vazquez almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. "Dirty Dicks" works for a kimura but Jose Vazquez defends well. Jose Vazquez turns out and escapes to his feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Vazquez takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. "Dirty Dicks" narrowly dodges a cross from Jose Vazquez, but falls catching him in his guard. Vazquez tries to move to half guard but Addicks uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Vazquez presses the action while in the guard, but Ewoud Addicks is able to switch him into mount. Ewoud throws some outside strikes at "The Vortex". Ewoud Addicks telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Jose gives up his back to stop the attempt.Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
Ewoud shoots for a single leg but Jose is able to hop away, defending well. Ewoud takes the opportunity to execute a difficult double-ankle pick. Ewoud knocks the wind out of "The Vortex" with a strong elbow strike to the abdomen. "Dirty Dicks" stands up with Jose still holding guard. As Jose releases his guard "Dirty Dicks" spins to a kneebar but it is too shallow. "Dirty Dicks" takes couple of shots to the head. The fighters scramble to standing position. Jose winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Addicks takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Ewoud executes a beautiful double leg takedown, putting "The Vortex" to the mat, and Ewoud into side control. Ewoud Addicks wraps the arm of Jose Vazquez behind his back and traps it. Ewoud Addicks pounds away with shots to the face. Ewoud works for a kimura but Vazquez defends well. Vazquez turns out and escapes to his feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
